How can I tell if the box is occupied?
You might hear a faint humming sound or see them entering and leaving. The first signs of activity usually appear from May/June onwards.
Do I need to clean the box?
Yes – once a year after the season ends (October) . Simply remove the old nest and brush it out roughly.
