For acidifying, improving gelling, or adding a fresh flavor note, citric acid is a versatile helper in the kitchen and household.
Citric acid is ideal, especially for better preservation of homemade syrups or jams.
Our citric acid is of high food grade quality and very soluble in water.
Depending on your needs, we have various package sizes to choose from, from small 10g packets to large 5kg packs. Please select the package size first, then you can add the product to your shopping cart.
Instructions for use
For acidifying juices and mashes
:1 g of citric acid increases the acidity by 1 g (parts per thousand) in 1 liter of juice/mash (see: lactic acid). It is also used to make barrier liquids for fermentation locks (SO2). For making jam.
Dosage: 10–15 g per 1 liter of water
Not for immediate consumption!
