Dried herbs are particularly rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins.
Especially in winter, it's recommended to scatter dried herbs, leaves, or blossoms directly into the hay or offer them as a feed supplement. With proper storage (dry, e.g., in cookie tins), the dried herbs will keep for a good six months and retain very few nutrients. Thyme (a culinary and medicinal herb) is a delicacy for rabbits and also a proven medicinal plant for both humans and animals.
Supportive for colds and flu, as well as digestive problems and intestinal parasites. Can also be used externally as a decoction or offered as a tea. Caution with pregnant animals, as it may induce labor.
