Seasonally and regionally, starlings can sometimes cause problems in specific monocultures.
Logically, they exploit the easily accessible food sources very quickly.
However, the ecological advantage they offer in "pest control" in agriculture and forestry - e.g., of mosquitoes, oak leafrollers or gypsy moths - should never be overlooked.
A perch in front of the flight hole is not required, as this is not necessary from an ornithological point of view.
The roof of the nesting cavity is often used as a perch.
The complete mounting hardware and aluminum nails for the Starenhöhle 3S are included.
This tried and tested model is the version without cat and marten protection.
