Description
Special hazel dormouse nest
Model 2KS with entry diameter 26mm
The SCHWEGLER hazel dormouse nest box 2KS has been field-tested and is ideally suited for monitoring and supporting hazel dormouse populations. The smaller entrance and the dormouse barrier make access difficult or impossible for other species. For optimal protection, the distance between the rear barrier and the tree trunk should be a maximum of 2–2.5 cm; this is ensured with a tree trunk diameter of approximately 20–30 cm.

Therefore, it, as well as its habitat, is specially protected under the Habitats Directive in all member states of the European Union.
