Coarse sea salt with sodium nitrite 1300g
For sausage production or the production of cured meats, it contributes to reddening and color retention.
Ingredients:
- Table salt,
- Sodium nitrite E250 0.6%
Anti-caking agent:
- Potassium hexacyanidoferrate (II) E536
Can with screw cap, resealable.

Features:
- Slightly moist, coarse-grained sodium chloride obtained from seawater, to which sodium nitrite has been added in accordance with the regulations of the additives regulation .
- The sea salt used to manufacture this product is produced using agricultural methods (origin: France).
- It may naturally contain small amounts of visible water-insoluble components such as shell fragments, sand, plant residues, etc.
- The production of the usable mixture (addition of sodium nitrite) takes place at the Swiss Rhine saltworks.
Use:
- In meat processing, in all cases where the use of coarse-grained salt is desired instead of fine-grained nitrite curing salt (standard product) .
- Please note: This product may only be used for the preservation and preparation (reddening) of meat products and is not intended for direct consumption .
Sensory aspects:
- Color: white to slightly grayish
- Odor: The reaction of small amounts of nitrite produces a slightly pungent odor; this has no influence on the quality of the final products.
- Taste: Nitrite curing salt must not be ingested directly !
- Grain size: 0.7 - 3.0 mm, medium grain size 2.0 - 3.0 mm
