Rifol sterile casing gathered - various calibers
Artificial polyamide casing in a caterpillar-like shape
The Rifol sterile casing is an excellent choice for producing your cooked and scalded sausages, such as mortadelle, liver sausage, head cheese or cold cuts.
This versatile and high-quality polyamide casing is easy to process and delivers optimal results.
We offer various caliber sizes, also well-suited for onion sausage, pâtés, head cheese, and cooked ham. This casing has a transparent outer layer, allowing immediate visibility of the sausage's fine texture.
Available in various calibers:
- Caliber 23
- Caliber 26
- Caliber 43
- Caliber 65
- Caliber 90
Polyamide shells are characterized by very high caliber accuracy, high elongation and strong shrinkage resistance. The sterile intestine is characterized by its very good barrier properties (aroma barrier; water vapor barrier; oxygen barrier).
This casing comes not in bundles, but gathered into a so-called "caterpillar". Caterpillars are ideal for larger production quantities because they can determine the size of their individual sausage portions.
- Easy to clip, for example with the BS.882 sausage clipper pliers.
- Air or water inclusions can be poked, i.e., small holes can be made, e.g. with the sausage poker Spiky BS.689.
