While a grill thermometer measures the temperature in the core of the meat, a smoking thermometer is used to monitor the temperature inside the smoker or smokehouse or grill.
It is important that the smoking thermometer can be attached to the housing using the pin attached to the back.
This means that your smoker or grill must have a hole drilled in it of approximately 14 mm.
