Double swift nest box type no. 17C

This model is an extended version of our swift box No. 17, which has proven itself for decades.

It simultaneously offers space for 2 pairs of swifts and has the advantage of being extremely flexible and easy to install.

This lightweight nesting box is designed for mounting on the exterior facades of buildings of all kinds.

Particularly well suited for colony formation due to 2 separate brood chambers in one housing.

Installation:

Under the roof (or near it) from a height of 5 m upwards using 2 supplied mounting brackets or embedded in the building's outer wall (see sketches).

Care must be taken to ensure that the mounted box is securely held and that the method of fastening is checked on site.

Please ensure that there are clear take-off and landing paths during installation.

Color matching:

Adaptation to the house facade is possible with breathable facade paint.

Please pay close attention to the term "breathable".

Cleaning:

Cleaning is possible by removing the entrance rosette, but if occupied by swifts, cleaning is usually not necessary.

For this, the entrance rosette is rotated 90° (flight hole vertical) and removed.

After reinsertion: Secure the entrance rosette against falling out by rotating the flight hole into a horizontal position.
