Mounting box for swifts No. 16
This nesting box is suitable for installation in exterior building walls.
The maximum insertion depth is 17 cm, limited by the entrance hole through which the swift can fly into the box from below.
It can also be embedded in the insulation layer during facade insulation measures.
It can also be mounted on plaster on house walls or installed in an insulation layer.
A mounting strip (item no. 00 614/1) must also be used. This nesting box can also be easily painted over with standard, breathable facade paint when attached to the facade.
Installation:
Minimum altitude below the entrance is 6 to 7 meters above ground level. Please ensure unobstructed approach and departure routes.
Installing several nesting aids to encourage colony formation is advantageous. These can be placed on exterior facades or near the roof of buildings of all kinds, e.g., on residential buildings, industrial buildings, churches, road structures, walls, or even rock faces.
Cleaning & inspection:
The front panel with fall protection for inspection purposes is completely removable.
Cleaning is not absolutely necessary.
