Swift and Bat House 1MF

Thanks to an ingenious design, up to two pairs of swifts can breed separately and successfully raise their young in the 1MF (multi-story building). A special shape provides sufficient space between the building wall and the box for bats to use as roosts or maternity colonies. The design of the rear bat area is tailored to the needs of bat species that live in buildings.

Installation:

Minimum height below the entrance: 6 to 7 m above ground level. Please ensure unobstructed access for take-off and landing. Installing multiple nesting aids to encourage colony formation is advantageous. Suitable for exterior facades or near the eaves of all types of buildings, e.g., residential buildings, industrial buildings, churches, road structures, walls, or even rock faces. A specially shaped mounting bracket is attached to the respective surface, e.g., the building facade, and the 1MF nesting box is hung from it. For embedding in the facade, please order the base stone (order no.: FS00616/5) separately.

Cleaning & inspection:

The two nesting niches for swifts are easy to clean, as each front flap is secured with a safety hook. The rear bat compartment requires no maintenance at all, as droppings fall out the bottom.
