A classic cabbage tong made of glued, untreated beechwood. This tong is a useful accessory to prevent germs from entering the fermentation crock when removing the sauerkraut. This keeps the cabbage fresh and edible in the crock all winter long – a healthy delicacy from your own cellar.
Pickled cucumbers or tomatoes can of course also be gently removed from the jar using this method. Traditional preserving methods are making a comeback, both for using up seasonal vegetables and as a special treat on the dinner table.
This product is also available in a smaller version with a length of 17cm.
Before first use, coat the wood with olive oil and wait until it is completely dry. Then repeat the process. A beechwood herb pliers treated in this way is resistant to moisture cracking.
