The glass balloon is an industrially manufactured, pressed glass object – air bubbles and pressed edges are inherent to the manufacturing process. Clean the glass balloon before use. Clean with a balloon brush (item no. VR54100) and Pitt cleaning agent (item no. VR40100).
Caution: The temperature difference between the liquid and the glass must not exceed 30°C.
The protective cap is merely for transport protection and is not included in the scope of delivery.

How do I clean a glass balloon?
Be careful not to rinse the glass balloon with water that is too hot. The temperature difference between the glass and the water should not exceed 30°C, otherwise the glass may crack. Therefore, never rinse a balloon that has been in the cold with hot water. This could cause it to break!
It's practically impossible to clean the bulbous walls of a demijohn with a regular bottle brush. Therefore, use a brush with a flexible wire or a pre-bent bristles. When buying one, make sure it's the right length for your demijohn.
For stubborn dirt, you can clean the balloon with household remedies such as baking soda or baking powder. Mix the powder with warm water and pour it into the glass balloon, gently swirling it so the solution reaches all surfaces inside. After about 20 to 30 minutes, pour out the solution and rinse the glass balloon thoroughly with water.
