The 2FE bat wall-mounted roost can be used just as effectively as a summer roost as it can be in a winter shelter. This would be a frost-free, damp area in cellars, bunkers, tunnels, etc. In summer, common pipistrelles, whiskered bats, and barbastelle bats, among others, roost in this daytime shelter. In winter, all so-called cave-hibernating bats use this wall-mounted roost as a sleeping place. Daubenton's bats, whiskered bats, and brown long-eared bats, which prefer to sleep in close physical contact, huddle together in small groups in the wall-mounted roost. Even greater mouse-eared bats find a secure roosting spot thanks to the interior's layout, which is tailored to their needs. The exterior is decorated with an attractive bat motif, making it easily recognizable as a bat house, even to the untrained eye. The pre-molded, varying roosting depths on the inside, designed to ensure optimal back-to-back contact for the animals, provide a roost for a wide variety of bat species. Installation: The roosting is very easy and is attached to a facade using just two screws. This can be made of wood, stone, concrete, etc. For uneven surfaces, it is recommended to seal the three edges, for example with silicone, expanding sealing tape, or similar. This provides the bats with their preferred draft-free environment. Like all wood-concrete products from the extensive SCHWEGLER range, this bat roost can also be painted with breathable facade paint to match the substrate, if desired.

Installation locations:

If the 2FE wall shell is intended to serve as a summer habitat, it should be attached to the south or east side of a building. For frost-proof wintering locations, it should be installed in underground vaults and structures, such as cellars, bunkers, and bridges. This habitat can also be used in attics, unheated rooms, or under the knee wall.

Cleaning & inspection:

Maintenance-free enclosure, as droppings fall out the bottom. Occupancy checks using a flashlight are very easy.
