Cave 1FD was developed as a special maternity roost for, among others, small bats and has been very successfully tested.
The interior, as well as the type and size of the entrance hole, were specially adapted for small bats.
The layout of the interior, the design of the roof, the room height, the double-layered, grooved wooden front panels and the spacing of the wooden panels to each other have had a very positive effect on the acceptance of this type of cave.
This bat cave is particularly important in mixed bat habitats and during initial settlement attempts.

Residents:
Small bats such as the common pipistrelle, Nathusius' pipistrelle, Daubenton's bat, and long-eared bat. Possibly pond bats.
