Thanks to its special insulation, this winter roost is suitable as a habitat for building-dwelling bat species in both winter and summer. The patented double-wall system makes the roost completely winter-proof – the same system that has been used very successfully for many years in our 1FW type bat hibernation caves for forestry applications. Following extensive development, we can now offer the 1WI as a year-round roost that can be easily and cost-effectively integrated into building exterior walls. It is suitable for the safe establishment of colonies and maternity roosts in summer, as well as for the animals' safe hibernation.

Installation:

From 3 m to 5 m and up. Please ensure unobstructed access for approach and departure. The 1WI is typically installed flush with the exterior facade or in external insulation beneath the exterior plaster. It can be secured to the building structure with four screws. The necessary mounting hardware is included. The only visible part after installation is the entrance funnel for the animals.
