Fieger Quail Feed Breeding + Keeping is a special complete feed for Japanese laying quail with a high content of amino acids and vitamins. The feed is produced in 2.2mm pellets and is non-GMO.

Feed your quail a healthy diet – for the sake of their well-being. The ideal pellet size of 2.2 mm ensures high acceptance among quail. Fieger Quail Breeding + Keeping Feed can be fed from the 5th week of life and can easily be mixed with Fieger Quail Rearing Feed initially to accustom the young quail to the new food.

As a general rule, when changing feed, always mix the old feed with the new feed over a period of 4-6 days, as the ingredients can differ considerably. Generally, however, quail do not need a long adjustment period to the quail feed for breeding and keeping ; they eat it immediately without hesitation. The very good calcium content of 5.0% and the good protein value of 20% make the quail feed for breeding and keeping an ideal feed tailored to laying quail.

Our feeding recommendation

Adult quail (which can start eating as early as 5 weeks old) consume approximately 30-45g of food per day. However, quail must always have access to food and water, as their small size, activity level, and egg-laying capacity mean they require a lot of energy. We recommend supplementing your quail breeding and keeping feed with our Quail Mineral (item BS.425) and Oregano (item BS.300).

Quail Mineral (article BS.425) promotes more beautiful plumage and better development in quail. For breeding and keeping, we recommend mixing one dosing spoonful of minerals into 1 kg of quail feed .

Oregano (article BS.300) helps quail to better digest their feed. We recommend mixing one dosing spoonful of oregano into every 1 kg of quail feed for breeding and keeping .

If you see that there are still minerals or oregano in the feeding trough, let the animals eat these first. They will consume them as they need them.

For quail, we recommend the following feeding dishes, among others: FA1 (for chicks only), FA3, FA6. These should always be suspended. The adjustable suspension (BS.315) is ideal for this purpose.
