Beer wort hydrometer 0-20% mas., with thermometer
Measuring device for determining the wort content.
Application:
The spindle is carefully immersed in a 100 ml measuring or graduated cylinder until it floats to the surface.
The value is read on the scale at the point where the liquid intersects the hydrometer. The wort hydrometer is equipped with a thermometer that also includes a correction scale for temperature variations (measured value 20°C).
The amount of dissolved substances (extracts) in 1 liter of wort is displayed.
Example: 14% wort content means that 140 g of dissolved substances (extracts) and 860 g of water are added to 1 liter of wort. The original gravity is used to calculate beer tax, as this is derived from it.
Caution: The thermometer must not reach or be exposed to a maximum temperature of 40°C.Matching accessories:
