Installing the anti-mite kit is very easy. The rotating trays can be filled three-quarters full with the oil of your choice. The oil prevents the mites from reaching the chickens. It is important to check the trays regularly. If you see mites, it is advisable to treat the rest of the coop as well. And of course, you should also ensure that there is always enough oil in the mite trays. This way, you can be sure that this natural method of control is very effective.
The anti-blood mite kit consists of two trays. Because they are rotatable, they can be easily filled with oil without any mess. The kit also includes two long wall brackets with pressure nuts and mounting hardware.
It is very important that there is a minimum distance of 8 cm between the roosting bar and the coop wall. This is the only way to prevent the blood mites from reaching the chickens.
