Description
Ant / Observation Stone
(DBP)
Ants require a great deal of warmth to raise their brood and especially for the development of the pupae, and therefore preferentially colonize the stone. However, animals from the cellar and garden inhabitants also use the observation stone as a daytime hiding place or winter quarters. Up to 70 species have been identified.
You can safely remove this observation stone as often as possible without destroying the brood and tunnels of the colony, as is otherwise common with ants, for example.
Installation:
Place the observation stone in a sunny to partially shaded spot on a meadow or lawn. To potentially conduct a biological experiment, the stone can be placed on different soil substrates such as sand, gravel, and/or earth.

Ants, snails, woodlice, centipedes, ground beetles, spiders, earwigs and earthworms, millipedes, beetle larvae and much more.

Special lightweight concrete
