Measuring device for determining the alcohol content in distillates according to the density principle.
This requires a measuring cylinder, either stationary or matched to the length of the measuring spindle.
Measuring range: 0 – 100 vol. percent.
Colored separation of the measuring scale for separation steps.
The hydrometer is carefully immersed in the distillate in a 250 ml measuring or graduated cylinder until it floats freely. The value is then read on the scale at the point where the liquid intersects the cylinder, in percent by volume (%Vol).
